One of our favourite nurseries, Lost Horizons, will be open again this year. Understandably, operation of the nursery and sales to the public will be dependent on government directives during the pandemic. View website.

Toronto Rhododendron Society has disbanded and, in the future, its former members will be served by ORG&HPS programs. Laura Grant has been appointed to the ORG&HPS Board of Directors to ensure that the interests of rhodo fanciers are incorporated into our activities.

We are going to be selling seed sowing supplies again this season, including 3" pots (tall for alpines), labels and GA3. Fitting the pots snugly into our old trays was problematic. Arie has come up with an excellent solution, so once again trays will be for sale. Watch the meeting pages in Dec-March for prices and availability.

General Information:

Iris ‘Katharine Hodgkin’, the orchid iris, is one of the best reticulata-type early spring flowering iris. It makes a great show every year and multiplies quickly to form a good sized clump. The flowers are short, but wider than other similar types. To be honest, I don’t like pale colors in the garden but I’ve fallen in love with this one.
