ORG&HPS MEETING AT TORONTO BOTANICAL GARDEN ON SEPTEMBER 9. Speaker starts at 1:30. Chris’s topic is “The Flora of the Silk Road”  which is also the title of his most recent book.  He will present a unique pictorial presentation of the plants and scenery to be found along the 10,000 kilometres of the Silk Road. It will span the area from the rugged Taurus Mountains and the deserts of Syria to the ruins of Persepolis and the blue-domed mosques of Samarkand,  the vast steppe leading up to the spectacular mountains of the Tibetan plateau and China. Free admission. Public is welcome.
