Ben O’Brien is a gardener, landscape designer, and the owner of Wild by Design. He creates artfully crafted, richly planted, and lovingly tended naturalistic gardens inspired by the landscape of Prince Edward County in Ontario, where he lives and works.
Ben has written articles for the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects, Ecological Landscape Alliance, Ontario Beekeepers Association and others, and presented for horticultural groups across Ontario. His work is featured in the newly released book “Gardenista: The Low Impact Garden” by Kendra Wilson and he was recognized by the Perennial Plant Association as its 2025 Emerging Perennial Professional.
